On August 26, 2022, the Kyiv Region Bar Council received a notification about a possible search of a lawyer who is currently abroad.
The duty officers of the Committee for the Protection of Guarantees of Advocacy were already ready to go to the place of investigation.
However, the previous conversation with the SBI investigator turned out to be unexpectedly productive. It turned out that the investigator did not have all the necessary documents to conduct a search of the lawyer, as required by the Law "On Advocacy and Advocacy".
As a result, the search was canceled.
The main thing is that the guarantees of advocacy were protected, and the Committee once again not only proved the effectiveness of its work, but also clearly demonstrated that even such a simple thing as checking documents is a tool for protecting the rights of advocates.
