On May 8, 2023, the Kyiv Region Bar Council handed over the Valkyrie UAV to representatives of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhets.
The choice of this military unit was not accidental, because the 72nd brigade is based in Bila Tserkva, which is actually “home” for the lawyers of the Kyiv region. In addition, Ilya Kostin, a former member of the Kyiv Region Bar Council, serves in the ranks of the brigade.
As Petro Boyko, the chairman of the Bar Council of the Kyiv region, explained, “the guys from the 72nd brigade lost the Valkyrie UAV due to hostile actions.” The Kyiv Region Bar Council ordered this drone from our Ukrainian manufacturer. In two and a half months, the drone was manufactured and the crew was trained.”
As the lawyers and military personnel present at the event noted, “Union is our strength.”
Together to victory. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!
For reference: By the order of the Minister of Defense dated 05.12.2017 No. 641, the UAV was admitted to operation in the Armed Forces for a special period. It can provide monitoring, aerial reconnaissance, video surveillance and adjustment of artillery systems day and night.
The authorship of “Valkyrie” belongs to the Kyiv-based enterprise Aviation Systems of Ukraine.
